based on some of the comments here.

AND THANKFULLY she is a primary candidate not the only primary candidate (so the MSM is just pussing a quota queen woman because the MSM only pushes the liberal women)

...she appears to be just a paper tiger candidate who was fast tracked through the military and did not do any serious military “combat”. As soon as she could be sidlined via school and teaching she was “parked” out of the way of doing any real damage.

She bailed on her military carreer because the opportunity opened up and it was apparent her serious career prospects were finished. She had her token rank and the prior brass had their display token of sufficient rank.

hopefully she will be primaried out and that will settle that.

Agreed. The “combat” time ticket punch can and is regulary done for PC “up and comers”. Chances are the amount of actual “hot” missions McSally actually flew (and of THEM, the number of missions in which she flew some sort of “reserve” or “cover” role) were slim. “Commanders have other responsibilties, you know” - I can just hear it. Sergeant Leigh Ann Hester (again, I am skeptical concerning believing what I read) from all indications 100% deserved her medal. She was humble and dignified during the media’s coverage of the event. MPs in combat zones actually fill a real world role - unlike in garrison. On top of that, Sergeant Hester was an ENLISTED soldier. Not a whole lot of “honorary degrees” or “instructional positions” on her 201. I witnessed a number of commissioned types assigned to companies not deploying to Urgent Fury clamoring to get on “ash and trash” flights to the island toward the end of that very brief action JUST in order to “qualify” for the CIB, combat patch and subsuquent 201 file annotations. No doubt that sort of “ticket punching” is condoned all over the military.
