Civil unions was the conscious method by homosexual activists to lead to “gay” marriage. As soon as they get “civil unions” they raise the cry of “It’s not REAL Marriage whine whine!”
Many states wisely understood this threat even BEFORE the first state, Massachusetts, even counterfeited marriage, and enacted in their constitutions not only the established definition of marriage, but also preclusions to counterfeits. This was the only sane course of action, knowing what the barbarians were capable of.
