“I understand why Santorum pulled out, too. As soon as I heard Romney had packed it in, I knew Santorum would not face Newt alone.”

I have a haunch that there is a pact Mitt/Rick , hidden under the wraps. Mitt didn’t campaign in Missouri and Minnesota, and very timidly in Colorado. He didn’t care much for caucuses, which don’t allocate binding delegates, so Santorum with ONLY three pledged delegates took the lead? Mitt’s strategy appeared to backfire, so probably they have already changed the order in P/VP ...

Both have interest to “destroy Gingrich” as a Romney’s staffer boasted in Florida.

The pretext to decline the debate is indeed ridiculous, they were ALL present at the debate, only two days before the S.Carolina vote.

This certainly does Not pass the smell test and I don’t know how there can be any doubt that there was colusion between the two camps. For either Romney or Santorum to drop out without the assurance that the other would follow suit would have made an individual deserter seem Cowardly. They definitely coordinated this.

Well, they have succeeded now in Both showing themselves as Dishonest, Scheming Cowards.

I have lost all respect for Santorum. He is now on the same level as Romney and I will not vote for him.
