School breakfast has been around a very long time.

Oh, I know that. I’m referring to the breakfast during the summer, not breakfast during the school year. I was saying I know that in the summer they serve lunch and dinner, but am not sure about the breakfast during those 3 months.

Heck kids were getting their doughnuts and chocolate milk when I was in school, decades ago! My dad recently told me that at my nephew’s school (my parents raise my sisters’ kids), that they bring around trays of poptarts and doughnuts to all the classrooms during the first hour of school. And that if they don’t eat them all (they make several for each kid), that they let them wrap them up and eat them all day long. Just what kids need, and endless supply of poptarts while trying to get them to pay attention in class! Ridiculous.
