“The greatest thrust of support for Santorum comes from Republicans who associate themselves with the tea party. “Rick Santorum’s support among Tea Party Republicans and white evangelicals is surging,” the poll’s overview concludes, while adding that a majority of Republicans would vote for Romney if he becomes the nominee. Forty-two percent of tea party Republicans said they would support Santorum, while just 23 percent chose Romney. Nearly 70 percent within the sample group—the survey of which has a margin of error of plus or minus 7 percentage points—said they do not consider Romney a “strong conservative.”
Newt has considerable support from Tea Party Conservatives. The founder of Tea Party Nation, Jason Phillips endorsed Newt, Allen Olson, the chairman of Columbia, SC Tea Party endorsed Newt, Florida Tea Party Leader, Peter Lee from Orlando and the Fla. Statewide Tea Party Leader, Patricia Sullivan endorsed Newt along with Todd Palin who is married to a huge Tea Party sweetheart endorsed Newt as did Cain of Georgia who was one of the chosen candidates by tea party folks.
Such a stark contrast in Newt and Rick. Newt fought Bush 41 on tax hikes, Newt orchestrated the Republican revolution, balanced budget amendments, contract with America and here we have Little Ricky bragging about his mega million dollars of taxpayer money spent on earmarks.
