I wonder what they’d have to say if it were a Mosque that had objections...

That's what I was thinking, as well. The muzzies won't just walk away wonder what their next step would be. They'd already have that planned out.

Nuns to club:

“Don’t impose your smut on our community!”

Venturer is a year late, and seventy thousand dollars short on this one.
And should have read the article closely.

This is the corrupt Chicago area.
Notices when the project began were “accidently” sent to wrong addresses. The Nuns didn’t know this was coming.

Actually, the nuns should use this situation as an opportunity:

1) The nuns should hold prayer services/place signs on their property, within earshot/sight of the the strip club.

2)Use these prayer services/signs to remind the young ladies(who WILL eventually bottom out on drugs, spousal beating etc) that Christ is ALWAYS there for them, regardless of their past.

3) A reminder of the saga of Mary Magdalene to these women would be a bonus.

God sometimes places an opportunity right in our face yet we do not see it.

JMO...

-—”believe as we do, or we’ll break you financially, and disgrace you in the community in which you’ve chosen to live and work!” Not death, to be sure, but not too far from it.——

Do we have a God-given right to do evil?

Is that logical or reasonable?

The only way to reasonably advocate the legal tolerance of a particular evil is that the criminalization of a particular evil will result in greater evil.

In this case, I don’t see many evils resulting from a community banning a nefarious strip club, but I can see many evils resulting from permitting it.

The mooselimbs wouldn't object, they'd send an 11 year old soldier of allah, with a bomb belt and end the entire operation.

That may be a good use of a terrorist.

“You can take your “moral Christian principles” and shove them up your habit sister.”

It’s a good thing moral Christian principles weren’t shoved up somewhere dark back when the founders were creating this Good nation as they were the rock upon which the founders stood. However the current occupant of the oval office is presently shoving our traditional Christian moral principles up our own asses so we will get to see how well a our nation does without them. (As if history weren’t enough)

The strip club is looking for free publicity at the expense of the nuns

You got it. This is so transparent yet the media will play its part of turning this into a "don't impose your values on me" storyline.

Zoning is a classic local issue. The township or city has every right to tell the property owner he can't open a strip club there. Yet somehow the media has perverted the law and Constitution into a document that permits a property owner to do whatever he or she wants on the property (unless -- God forbid -- its running a business or putting up a big American flag).

And anyone who thinks that strip clubs increase property values need to have their head examined. There is probably about a 99% correlation between strip clubs and prostitution and drug sales. That is what you get when a strip club is put in.

“Do we have a God-given right to do evil?”

Yes. It’s called free will.

I agree 100%. The owner of this club is giving the good sisters a gold plated chance to do some real good!

So since God has made it possible for us to choose evil, He doesn’t care if we choose to do evil?

“Religions have made a life out of actively opposing those who do not “toe the line” with respect to the religion's creed.”

So has obozo, so have the Democrats. Choose your poison.

Of course it may have been the same strain of Evil that is drawn to power then as now. THEN there was a great deal of power in the Church, NOW there is a great deal of power in Government and it's bureaucracy.. The Church survived the evil in it's ranks (Christ warned of them)now we see how government handles the infestation...

Perhaps, this would be merely a local zoning issue if the same balance were given to permit the free exercise of religion.

In the world of the Sun-Times, it’s a story because intolerant religious zealots object to amoral behavior. When the intolerant atheists object to the Ten Commandments, they are noble citizens protecting the Constitution.

It’s time to recognize and expose the agenda of left wing rags.

To be fair, that’s not what he said.
He said we have a right to choose evil.
We also have the right to experience the consequences for that choice.

That’s one of the lies of the leftist/satanic worldview - that there will be no consequences. (you will surely not die)

On another note, does it never occur to Satan’s sheep on the left that they are imposing THEIR worldview on US?

-—He said we have a right to choose evil.——

Yes. And we don’t.

For rights to be eternal and unalienable, they must come from God. God has given us freewill, Why? To choose good, not evil. The choice of evil is an abuse of free will.

Americans fundamentally misunderstand the idea of true freedom. We are truly free when we choose the good. God gives us freedom so that we can choose good, not evil. The converse is nonsensical.

The question then arises, Should every vice be criminalized? The answer to that question is no, since the criminalization of many vices results in greater societal vice, or places other undue burdens on society.

The important point is that Americans must learn that it is illogical to claim an absolute, God-given right to do evil, just because God has made it possible for us to choose evil.

The nuns should just put up a web-cam, aimed at the club’s door, and post the feed on their website.

They could also get a nice payoff for turning it off. Until then, they could use the images to teach why strip clubs are a bad thing. It's a TWOFER!

Idiots both.
