Since I now have a “right” to free contraceptives, where can I go to get my free guns since I have a “right” to bear arms?
(Washington Times) A top official with the National Rifle Association said Friday that President Obama will move to “destroy” gun rights and “erase” the Second Amendment if he is re-elected in November.
While delivering one of the liveliest and best-received speeches at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre said the president’s low-key approach to gun rights during his first term was “a “conspiracy to ensure re-election by lulling gun owners to sleep.”
“All that first term, lip service to gun owners is just part of a massive Obama conspiracy to deceive voters and hide his true intentions to destroy the Second Amendment during his second term,” he said.
“We see the president’s strategy crystal clear: Get re-elected and, with no more elections to worry about, get busy dismantling and destroying our firearms’ freedom, erase the Second Amendment from the Bill of Rights and excise it from the U.S. Constitution.”
Mr. LaPierre said the president’s two Supreme Court appointees — Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan— are “two of the most rabid anti-gun justices in history.” He also accused Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg of being a foe of gun rights.
And with the possibility of two or more Supreme Court justice positions opening during the next four years, the NRA official warned that gun ownership would be in jeopardy if Mr. Obama stays in office.
“If we get one more like those three, the Second Amendment is finished,” he said. “It’ll be the end of our freedom forever.”
Mr. LaPierre, who said “there is no greater freedom than to own a firearm,” predicted that gun owners will rally en masse to defeat Mr. Obama in November.
“All of what we know is good and right about America, all of it could be lost if Barrack Obama is re-elected,” he said. “It’s all or nothing.”
Our Founding Fathers would have started shooting now. Hell, for that matter they would have been finished!

While Obama is a threat to 2nd Amendment rights, I have far more concern about our 1st Amendment rights if he is re-elected. He clearly wants to re-establish some type of “Fairness Doctrine” that will muzzle talk radio and Fox News. He already has the ability to shutdown the Internet and specific web sites deemed to be “threats” to national security. Under a second Obama term the entire media could quickly become just the lapdogs of the WH we already see with MSNBC, CNN, the New York Times, Time magazine and the major networks. Web sites like this and other blog sites would be shut down or blocked as they are in China. I would expect the only way to get uncensored news would be by short wave radio from over the Obama Curtain.

While I agree with your poster and I shudder at another zer0 appointee to the SCOTUS, look around. We had a Soviet-style coup in America with not only an intact 2nd Amendment, but it caused a huge increase in the number of gun owners. Gun control devolved down to states and municipalities. Gun ownership managed to become a definition for *domestic terrorist*. No matter who wins the Presidential election (and it will be much worse if it is zer0), the same people who run Sanctuary Cities will continue to regulate guns.
The same groups that hate guns will continue to be funded by the same controllers who want total control and power. The war is, as always, won or lost in the minds of the people and there is still a huge percentage who simply and simplistically think laws will make them safer.
Fast and Furious failed because it became public. OTOH, it succeeded because no one will prosecute the perps and they are now free to institute F&F 2.0.
They have numerous ways to enslave.

And the NRA will be endorsing Democrats to make sure Obama can end gun rights.
When they want money they come running to the Conservatives, who are Republicans, not Democrats.
The NRA says these Democrats back Second Amendment rights. But we know if it comes down to voting with the White Hut these Democrats, by and large, will vote the way the evil regime orders.
OMG! Are you talking about an armed insurrection that will forceably remove Obama and his entourage from the White Hut? Are you talking about dragging the Senate majority leader from Searchlight by his heels from the Senate and possibly tarring and feathering him then tossing his scalded body atop the pile that already contains the congresswoman from SF?
Then would you board up the Fed headquarters and banish Bernake to the Mojave?
