Amormino said the incident began when a deputy was parked at San Clemente High, writing reports in his patrol car, and saw a Chevrolet Yukon speed by on Avenido Pico. The Yukon turned into the school parking lot and crashed through a barrier gate.
The deputy pulled his patrol car behind the Yukon and Loggins got out. The deputy gave some commands to Loggins, who walked toward the athletic field, then back to his SUV, Amormino said.
He said the deputy radioed for backup at some point, then something happened that prompted the deputy to open fire. A sheriffs sergeant arrived after the shooting.
Loggins was taken to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, where he died.
Still no info from daughters, or whether the lights and siren were activated.

I am truly concerned about the daughters, whether they had a lawyer or child advocate available to them, and whether an attempt was made to influence their testimony.
