This is all they got? I would back Romney over McCain too. I guess the pro Romney forces are saying, “Don’t trust anyone who would support Romney, ever”.
I wouldn't and didn't. To compress it into a nutshell, I weighed Romney's facility in saying where he stands on abortion, against McCain's facility in saying what the North Vietnamese wanted him to say in exchange for a first-class ticket home. Romney found it easy to deliver the lines; McCain did not.
Romney, who never wore the uniform, and who has endorsed the slaughter of infants, finds it easy to say what people want to hear: I'm conservative, I'm pro-life, I'm pro-2A.
McCain was going slowly into senile dementia, but he still hasn't ever sunk as low as Mitt Romney.
