And once they evidence comes crashing in like a Tsunami, this will go away. At worst, the STAs will be told to remove all forms of the symbol, and that will be that.
Then the STAs will “turn to” and come up with another symbol.
Yeah, I agree. I don’t see any real punishment stemming from this, but it’ll be pretty uncomfortable for that chain of command in the meantime. Their Sergeant Major will chew some ass (maybe), they’ll have to dump the symbol, some folks will gripe that people are too damned sensitive (and they are), and that’ll do it.
I just always hate it when some behind-the-scenes unit culture gets tossed in the dumpster b/c some guys didn’t use their heads.
