I know people that work at STP. Units 3 and 4 are dead. NRG cannot get any money to build them, and natural gas is cheap now.

Fossil fueled energy plants are much more economical. All nuclear does is add diversity to our energy sources.

So out of ~8 reactors proposed around 2008 only 2 have made it this far.

I think Palo Verde in AZ should build a forth but i don't think it will happen.
