We Republicans do understand that being on the Gov't dole equals Votes. We will just have to out vote them, GAME on, we are fired up and ready to fight.
Not with Romney though.

Now a Romney loss in Michigan would have been even bigger but I am quite sure that they have not voted yet.

But it is hard to maintain an aura of invincibility after you have been vinced...LOL! Mr. Sowell brightens my day with that line!

“Growing numbers of Americans on food stamps, jobs preserved by bailouts, people living on extended unemployment payments and people behind in their mortgage payments being helped by government interventions are all potential voters for those who rescued them even if their rescuers are the reason for hard times, in the first place. “
Marxist Hegelian dialectic in action. Government makes things worse, then rides in on a white horse to help. Gaining dependent votes in the mean time.

Has Romney won anything when he is positive and not on the attack to the front runner of the ABR candidate.?
Running on his own record without MSM and GOPEe backing leaves him behind Newt, Rick or maybe even Paul.

Romney's... millions of dollars parked in a tax shelter in the Cayman Islands is red meat for the class warfare Democrats. How I wish Romney would understand that he is not electable by the right people, the conservative people; and instead use all that money to support a viable conservative campaign by Gingrich, Santorum or Cain in exchange for a Cabinet position.
We can't win this without the kind of teamwork in which the Democrats excel.
Romney and the RINO establishment are sucking the life out of our nation's chance for a true recovery. They are fiddling with politics-as-usual -- while the One World conspiracy of financiers escalates unopposed.

Dr. Sowell is right on the mark again. He’s hitting on exactly what has been worrying us as more, and more of America’s voters become dependant on the Obama DemoSocialist BIG government, or even somewhat dependant.
Thanks for the ping jaz.

What Obama seems to understand that Republicans and many in the media do not, is that dependency on the government in hard times can translate into votes for the White House incumbent. Growing numbers of Americans on food stamps, jobs preserved by bailouts, people living on extended unemployment payments and people behind in their mortgage payments being helped by government interventions are all potential voters for those who rescued them even if their rescuers are the reason for hard times, in the first place. Dr. Sowell knocks it out of the park! We need a Republican candidate who can persuade voters that slavery to the government is bad for *them*, when they think it's good. That's a tough job, and it's absolutely impossible if the candidate doesn't believe it, himself.

Nope, I’m way to dumb to ironically tie the white horse prophecy to Obama.
