I use a Ciener conversion stainless steel with my ARs. Before leaving the range I run four or five IMI 5.56 rounds down the barrel to clean out any ‘deposits’. Never had a problem and it allows for practicing with my HD optics and weapon weight.
But to be honest, I like the CMMG stainless kit better ... less jams and seem to handle the Blackdog mags better.
Always a wise move - the soft, unjacketed .22LR bullets shave lead into the rifle's gas port. If the .22LR bullets were really jacketed (like a .22WMR), this would not be a problem.
