As much as I hate to say it, Newt may have too many negatives, even within his own party, to become President. If I were he, I would be thinking seriously tonight about making a deal with Santorum for the administraton post of my choice.

Yes, too many negatives. But I don't think Newt wants a position in anyone else's administration. He's too much a lone eagle.

Santorum runs the risk of becoming too dry and dull without someone interesting on his V.P. ticket. With Newt as the V.P., they’d be an incredible team that complements each other and would sweep into victory. Newt would be a fool to settle for anything less than V.P. Besides, Santorum already said in one debate or interview that he would pick Newt as his V.P.

Newt has the leadership in the argument for a Republican President, I’d hope Newt stays in long enough to at least keep the clarity of what America is up against, politically speaking.
