Open for discussion.
As an aside Obama really diddled the pooch when he attacked my Church, the cries of I'm Spartacus are resonating across the land as people of all religions realize that this marxist is coming for them next.
There's a big problem with your statement. We vote for delegates DURING the caucus. If you're involved politically and know who the people are at your caucus, it overcomes the ability of a Paul supporter being elected as a delegate.
Each potential delegate stands and makes a statement about why they want to be one and who they support for president.
I wouldn't want a candidate that has people write in delegates after we've already voted. That's something the democrats would do. It's called cheating.
Just give the self proclaimed phaero enough rope and he will hang himself.
I'd say he can't win unless he runs negative ads against a candidate. But I think that both Newt and Santorum are attacking Romney from both sides now.
I recall a thread where Newt and Santorum talked on the phone. I'm sure it's more than coincidence that both he and Romney began the full scale assault on Romney at the same time.
And it's not a coincidence that both are remaining in the race. It makes it hard for Romney to target just one person.
I think you've nailed it, hoosiermama.
I think most people here at FR already know there aren’t any delegates at stake, it’s about stopping Willard’s momentum.
Santorum talking on FOX now.
I didn’t have the nerve to post the delegate count and break up the party.
Have been saying it for days....Tag-team
The info on Ron Paul’s plot to steal a brokered convention is here, compiled from their message boards. Newt and Rick people really need to become delegates because it looks like we’re headed for brokered at this point:

No, let’s see dropouts! I mean, 13.45% of delegates needed have been earned and it’s Feb 7th! What’s the point? It’s over! /sarc
Just got back from caucus for Las Animas county, Trinidad, 18 of 19 county precincts as below.

You’re right! I’m sure Ahmadinejad of Iran supports:
Paul/Buchanan 2012
Three of a kind.
Can you answer my questions at post 299
I'd say we cool our heals and let the voters sort it out.

Yes, sir. He did.
I was actually embarrassed for the Paultards this evening. At my caucus, we had a general meeting first with ALL participants in an auditorium, and I as I was sitting there...listening...the Paul tards came in and asked “Where are our people sitting? We dont want to sit close to anyone that isnt for Ron Paul” Hell, it reminded me of a kindergarten playground scene!
These folks seriously need to up their medication!
Not sure I understand the “write-in” process you’re describing. I know delegates are handled differently in every state. In Pennsylvania they have to get signatures and be elected on the ballot during the primary. Ron Paul’s plan isn’t possible in every state but it sounds like in the states where they’ve talked about it, like in Maine, they just hang out after the vote and sign up to be delegates afterward. They talk about how 60% of the delegates selected were Ron Paul people even though he only got 10% of the vote in their precincts. And every little bit will count in a brokered convention, since I imagine the most delegates will be establishment types going for Romney. I think the most likely scenario out of a brokered is a Mitt/Rick ticket.
Thank you, Las Animas county and Trinidad!

That’s in Colorado.
sorry bout that
Colorado reporting in....
Santorum cleaned house in my local precinct caucus.
As for statewide totals so far:
.82% of vote counted.
Santorum 48.88%
Gingrich 21.35%
Romney 20.51%
Paul 8.99%
It’s early in the vote count, but very interesting.....
159 delegates chosen out of 1,144 needed to win, 13.9%. Conservatives will need to campaign against hard if they want to beat the Mitt Money Machine. Santorum was able to do it in Iowa with $300,00 vs. $2.1 million.
