Then I am surprised you made such a statement.

England has had the Magna Carta, the 1688 Bill of Rights, and other important documents that have curtailed the rights of kings and queens and given power to Parliament and the people. England and Britain fought a civil war (Cromwell anyone) over the tyranny of divine rule and the primacy of Parliament and the people’s rights.

Scotland has had the 1320 Declaration of Arbroath, the 1638 National Covenant, the 1689 Claim of Right (our bill of rights). Again, to make parliament and the peoples rights primacy.
