What struck me about the Super Bowl ads was how, with a couple of exceptions, how lame and generally unfunny they were.

You’re quite right! The Ads were unimaginative, really lackluster and uninspiring. I suppose people, simply, aren’t accustomed to expect anything better. I reckon that’s why we’ve got the government we have.
