The son of Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood is among 19 Americans being referred to criminal trial for allegedly receiving foreign funds illegally and being involved in banned activity in Egypt, several news agencies reported Sunday.
In all, Egyptian officials say 44 non-governmental organization workers will be put before the court after investigating judges claimed they had reason to try the democracy and rights workers.
The move is likely to further sour relations between Egypt's military rulers and the United States, the Arab nation's chief western backer for more than 30 years. The decision came just after Secretary of State Hillary Clinton met Saturday with Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr on the sidelines of the 48th meeting of the Munich Security Conference in Germany.

seems to look like a spring in a well worn upholstered chair seat, popping up to catch him in the seat of the pants!
Great!! Now Bari has his own Jimmy Carter hostage nightmare.
I think it’s clear that Egypt’s “Arab Spring” has been an islamic nightmare and it will usher in a new islamic age of darkness for that country. That cannot be disputed at this point.
But the important thing to learn is that America needs to stop meddling in the affairs of evil countries like Egypt. America should give no aid to these countries and should firewall them. No Egyptian muslims should be allowed into America. Let them have their darkness! Any American who wants to go over there and cause trouble shouldn’t expect America to do anything to save them. Promoting democracy overseas is world policing and idiotic when we’re losing our democracy over here!
That said, can we please prosecute and arrest the news media for lying to us about how the “arab spring” was a good thing and how there would be beautiful democracy in the middle east? They lied and lied and lied to us! They should be held accountable for their actions.
“Now Bari has his own Jimmy Carter hostage nightmare.”
Has ANY mainstream TV Media other than FOX even mentioned this on the Magic Talking Box?
It’s not a “Crisis”, if the media doesn’t report on it.
“investigating judges claimed they had reason to try the democracy and rights workers.”
These are going to turn out to be Obama-bots, working to spread turmoil in the middle east. They need some time in a lockup,,,to think about things. Screw em for now,,,
The Messiah kisses the derriere of the worst of the mobs and the mob rewards him by humiliating him at every turn. Just as Khomenie did to Carter.
No more aid. No more visas. No more immigration. No more landing rights for their airlines.
If you really want to get tough, no more trade. Cut off any company that trades with them. Cut their banks off from the world banking community.
Limit their embassy personnel. Kick out their UN delegation. If the UN doesn't like it, kick them out.
I'm sure it is because of global warming that the Arab Spring turned out a little too hot. Bush's fault (again).
This will not bother the Muslim in the White House.
It may force some sort of response, but it won’t amount to much.
I would bet they will not shut down American aid money to Egypt because of it.
Maybe Egypt is angling for some high speed rail money from Trans Sec’y LaHood.
Pretty much as I had planned, thanks for asking.
However, it seems as it going astray from the plans of my Useful Idiot cadre and disciples of The Won, but I am sure they won't lose faith until after the 2012 election, and then it won't matter,... to me.
They've finished their job for Obama. They were just caught in the back splash.

CNN has
I’m looking at this as Egypt taking hostages to pressure the US to continue the aid money.
