One benefit of getting on Twitter is that FReepers can share their knowledge with many more people with a simple click of the mouse which retweets info to your followers. The other benefit is that it is very easy to Tweet comments to media.

Interesting. How do you know those in the media see and read your Tweets?

Well, when you get a reply from the media, you know you hit a nerve. More importantly, if you get retweets, you know you are raising awareness relative to the bias of the media.

Also, if you follow certain media you will see them reply to people, even if they don't respond to your tweet. Obviously they are reading tweets, even if you don't get a reply. Granted some have assistants who monitor the Twitter accounts, but lots of them are a least spending some time actively managing their own Twitter accounts.

The more tweets and retweets you have, the great the chance your tweets will be seen by the media.

That’s how it works if they are monitoring the hash tag you use, such as #withNewt, they will see your tweet. You can post negative stuff about Romney and Obama and tag it with their hash tag.

You can search twitter by hash tag without having an account.
