A program on Canadian television (from just over the border from Buffalo, NY), “Royal Canadian Air Farce” did one of these man on the street interviews in the US but in reference to things in Canada. It was hilarious especially since those of us in border cities at least have a clue regarding Canada.

One of the questions was: “Canada uses a metric day of 25 hours. Do you think Canada should use a 24 hour day like the USA?” Everyone interviewed thought it would be in Canada’s best interest to switch to the 24 hour day and I think they did. {;^p}

Canada's metric conversion was not without incident. In 1983, confusion over imperial pounds vs kilograms caused Air Canada 143 to turn into a glider 41,000 feet over Ontario.
