Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu trounced challenger Moshe Feiglin, as both expected, in the vote on Tuesday for the leadership of the Likud party, but both men also said they won.
Netanyahu won 75 percent of the vote, while Feiglin won 25 percent, with Feiglin gaining 5% compared to the results in the previous leadership race.
We did something that was almost impossible by winning one quarter of the vote, said Feiglin, who maintained his supporters voted for me and for a Jewish state."
The low turnout was a favorable factor for Feiglin, and Netanyahu spread the message during the evening to urge more Likud members to vote. In Judea and Samaria, polls opened late, causing friction and complaints.
The sharp difference in views between Netanyahu and Feiglin is expressed on the future of Judea and Samaria, which Feiglin says should be annexed and where Arab residents should be encouraged with liberal financial aid to leave Israel.
Netanyahu has tried to maintain a centrist view, maintaining support for Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria but leaving open the possibility of destroying many communities and expelling their residents....

I don't know a thing about Feiglin, but his explanation of his ass kicking sounds like obama telling us that the economy is getting better.
Getting pummeled 3-1 is an old fashioned butt whipping...period...no excuses.
Last time it was 4-1. Maybe next time it’ll be 2.5-1.
has the WH anti-Bibi sentiment translated into supporting his opponents??
So how old would Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu be after 3 more races before (if the numbers kept dropping and that would be a BIG IF) he lost to that same person?
Who cares? Likud has no more credibility.
Put nothing past them.
WELL apparently 75% of the people in Israel do not agree with you is my point. For Some reason they believe the Likud is credible. What is it that they see that you are missing.
I am not trying to pick on you. I just really want to know.
75% of the people of Israel like him, why?
You are mistaken. 75% of the Likud Party chose Bibi over Feiglin. This was a primary, not a general election.
That 75% was only of the 50% of the Likud Party membership that bothered to vote.
ok, let me refine... 75% of the voters, voted for him so WHY do those 75% Like him?
Damned if I know. It’s not because he’s kept with the supposed Likud program. He’s even trying to get his lefty old commander Ehud Barak a place in Likud. He’s been destroying outposts as if it might actually lead to a permanent piece. He’s opposed the Outpost Law that if passed would require a burden of proof for Arabs claiming that outposts are built on their property. He opposes any checks and balances over the High Court, such as Knesset oversight on the selection of judges. One of his cronies, Danny Dannon, has called for “remedial discrimination” in favor of Ethiopian Jews; i.e., Affirmative Action. He is not a right wing Prime Minister; he only plays one during elections. That is why Likud is dead to me. It is not a right wing party, so long as he wins 75% of the vote during primaries.
Thank you,
Understand I am not picking on you but picking for Truth, Please give us some links that relate to these comments you have given us.
We see him has a great guy because he fights against, Iran and this nut we have as a pres.
Help us see, ok?
I take none of this personally, so long as it’s not personal. There are quite enough hot heads on freep without me becoming one, too. No problem. Here’s a few links. I realize international affairs are of greater interest to you in America, but over here this stuff goes on right outside my window, and I know people involved. This is a burning issue in Israel.
