LUVERNE, Minn. (AP) As political watchers fixated on Florida, Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum delivered a message to Minnesotans: The race is still on, no matter the outcome of Tuesdays primary.
Santorum, speaking Monday to a crowd of about 300 people at the Palace Theatre in the southwest town of Luverne, seemed determined to regain the Midwest momentum hed enjoyed in Iowa even on the eve of Floridas primary, in which the senator hasnt polled well.
I believe were going to be in it until the end, and I believe were going to win this race, Santorum told an enthusiastic crowd.

Ping!
I guess that depends on how he defines a win. Romney winning would not be a win for conservatives.
But Santorum, because he did this favour for Romney, getting a seat back in Congress would be a win for Santorum.
99% of Mitt’s ad budget was spent attacking Newt. 68% of ALL ads in Florida attacked Newt.
Let’s see, Santorum got 12% and had no attacks on him. Hmm. Wonder how long Santorum would last under the assault Newt is under .
Answer: not very long.
Ugh.
Lots of people I talk to here in Michigan seem to like him a lot. Romney’s “native” spiel is wearing pretty thin having not lived here for decades.
Obviously Santorum and Romney made a deal. Why else would he continue to waste the money and time. Especially with a daughter still in the hospital.
Who’s the ‘we’. Romney/Santorum?
I’m going to extend my “Ugh” by saying that this guy would get his ass beat into the ground in a debate with Obama, and the American electorate on average are so below average that they’d re-elect the socialist because of it.
What a fantastic idea. Keep splitting the vote and boring us to tears.
It's very obvious now. Until now I gave him the benefit of the doubt and figured he would step aside after Florida.
Santorum is the kind of a candidate that can do well amongst Republicans in Michigan. He is a direct contrast to Obama.
Let’s see. No attack ads against Santorum by Romney. He was only attacking Newt. And most of Santorum’s attacks were against Newt.
yup, they made a deal. No doubt about it.
Santorum = Romney
If any of you Santorum supporters think for one minute that Mitt and the GOP-E’s wont’ chew him up, worse than they did Palin and Newt, you really are stupid. If he ever gets even close to Mitt, 16 mill dollars of attack ads will surface... mostly lies, but it won’t matter.
We (conservatives) needed to stand together in FL. Some TPer’s left the harbor - they went with the enemy.
The problem is that ther are so many places in this world where people want to vote for whoever looks like they are going to win. I think its some kind of third world thing, but it has taken root in this country apparently.
Analyzing Fl, it appears that Gingrich has won the majority of counties.
The larger counties, where the Mormon Bishop spent most of his 15 million, have put him over the top.
Santorum, another degenerate lawyer megalomaniac, the sweater vest wearing schmuck who couldnt win reelection to the Senate in his own state, has over 200,000 votes, obviously staying in this to sabotage Gingrich.
MYTH ROMNEY is sadly mistaken if he thinks he can buy the WH.
He cant.
And Santorum needs to start chasing ambulances again and put down the crack pipe, he will never be POTUS.
Sandozzz-zzz-zzz.
This is why I’m getting over run by people that are tired of these endless attacks on Santorum. It is making it difficult for Santorum supporters to get behind Gingrich if that eventuality prevails.
Otherwise, focus your energies on Romney and stay positive.
Even aside from that, I think there’s a deal.
If you’re going into nomination process with the intent of just increasing your name recognition, and such, which is all that you do if you have a negligible chance of winning the nomination, you try and go out on a high, like winning Iowa. It increases your chance of an electoral win wherever it is you do plan on running.
To win Iowa and then keep going and use up the gains from Iowa doesn’t make much sense, unless there is another reason afoot or that Santorum is egotistical enough to think that an Iowan win makes it conceivable that he’ll also get the presidency.
Rick Santorum is NO Sarah Palin
