Sadly, I agree with him.

I don’t know about martyrdom, but it is more likely that the tax exemption would be removed (leading to de facto confiscation of property due to the Church’s inability to pay taxes - especially property taxes).
This is why the generals in Spain revolted in 1936; their culture and way of life had been turned upside down by Bolshevism.
When we were going through pre Cana in Lincoln, the priest said that in 15 years he expected active persecution.
My LCMS pastor said the same, only he added he expected a civil war to boot.
Or we may very well see a second American revolution in the works.

Let us hope it does not come to that, let us hope that theses nuts in Washington wise up before they let their ideological madness drive them to commit even greater evils.
