This particular Bishop has ALWAYS BEEN VERY PRO-LIFE. I really do not think he would have voted for Obama. He’s a “John Paul II Priest and Bishop” [which is Catholic code for a true traditional, orthodox, Catholic prelate].

The Lincoln bishop is somewhere to the right of just about everyone on FR. Good man.

A true Nebraskan. Even though he wasn't born there, and it took him a bit to get there. He stand by what he believes and makes no attempts to pretend other wise.

As someone who grew up there, from a Lutheran family, we fought a lot with our Catholic friends and family. But it was a family fight. Now that the Fedgov has decided to attack, it is time to push back.

I'm glad to find out that this bishop is pro-life.

I would be even happier to find out that he is opposed to socialism in general, not just the small part of it that requires abortifacients in Catholic hospitals.

I would be ecstatic if that position was shared by the Catholic hierarchy in general.
