Great News, but what about telling the truth about the Abortion and Breast Cancer link.

I stopped giving to Komen about 6 years ago when they had that conference in Egypt but did not allow Israeli mdeical scientists to attend (they rescinded, but too late). They are a leftist organization.

Exactly. You know it’s getting funded another way.

Hard to believe, but if it’s true, then God Bless Them. Now, if only the Girl Scouts would dump their affiliation with these monsters, I’ll feel real good. Until then, I won’t by any Girl Scout cookies for any reason.

The Girl Scouts' relationship with Planned non-Parenthood is just the tip of the iceberg.

They are a leftist organization.

O'Sullivan's First Law: "All organizations that are not actually right-wing will over time become left-wing."

I actually thought of that when I posted, but could not remember his name...wasn’t he a writer for the National Review back in the ‘70s?

Yes, he was a frequent contributor to NR clear through the '70's, if I remember correctly. He left to become a member of Margaret Thatcher's inner circle.

I have a theory that O'Sullivan's First Law is really just the Second Law of thermodynamics, applied to politics. That is to say, liberalism is simply the result of the breakdown of the organizing principles of civilization. This breakdown process creates its own constituencies, which lobby, agitate and do sabotage in order to further the breakdown process. The net effect is to make it ever more difficult to carry out the organization, ranking, and correction processes that are necessry to make a stable and self-propagating civiliztion.

In short, liberalism is entropy in politics.

huge win but they are doing it for the wrong reasons. I bet they find another way of funneling money to the abortion providers.

Yes, they deny funding for PP due to their own loss of contributions from those who understand the conflict or irony. They are not cutting the funding because of a fundamental change in their philosophy. They are still the same organization that would support pp in a heartbeat, (no pun intended) if it didn’t hurt their bottom line.

It is the ideology, the principles, the foundation, that really matters, and until those are changed, they should still suffer financially for their support of an organization that basically has been a large part of the moral and financial destruction of what was the greatest nation on earth. Consider too that the US Supreme Court, The Congress of the US and the Executive Branch of Government, are also part of their support team.

Good news on a day when Romney wins the Florida primary.

Need to focus on helping find a GOP nominee that is pro-life.

"Stop Planned Parenthood (STOPP), a project of the American Life League dedicated to shutting down Planned Parenthood, released a report on August 24 of last year detailing the $629,159 in funding various Komen affiliates contributed directly to Planned Parenthood affiliates across the US in 2009-2010, according to the 990 Forms Komen submitted to the IRS for those years."

I bet they find another way of funneling money to the abortion providers.

It's probably not impossible, but it may not be worth the trouble.

I applaud this decision and if anything, it’s long overdue. The Susan Komen Foundation has done some very good work and their association since 2005 with Planned Parenthood had stained their mission.

"Evidently, Komen had to choose between political ideology and financial viability." (said Mattes)

Good one Mr. Mattes.

Certain dig at the "viability" argument of Roe vs. Wade.
