Good point!! This Romney family stability business is most likely a bit of a sham. Mormon ideology (epecially the successful men who can pay) actually embraces a polygamist view. Many of the “sister” wives end up on welfare. Look at Romneycare in Massachusetts. Romney is a wolf in sheeps clothing. The polygamist mindset, even if he personally doesn’t practice, is very dysfunctional and is ultimately very misogynist.
I don’t like Newt’s philandering but I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that he experienced a true conversion and put those days behind him. Maybe this is naive, however I don’t trust Romney at all.
I have a theory that the reason Romney supports gay marriage is becuse he knows that it is the first step in re-establishing polygamy. Afterall, once you re-define marriage as something other than between one man nd one woman, it’s kind of hard to make a rational defense against one man and 3 or 4 wives.
