Premonition is not necessary. 9/11 was the 2nd attempt. They just came back and finished the job.
I was home working on blueprints when my wife called me to come see what just happened on TV. She said a plane flew into a building in New York. I told her that it sounded like Bin Laden was at it again. She thought it was an accident. She asked me what I meant, she had no clue about what had happened before. When the 2nd plane hit the other tower, I told her see, it was no accident.
Happened just that way
Yup.
And during the 90 - 91 war, many of us out in the desert (I was with 2nd MEF) noted the H.W Bush’s deployment of fuel air explosives was about as stupid a move as it was possible to make on the world stage. The western powers had been struggling desparately since the late 40s to limit the third worlds acess to nuclear weapons, chemical agents, and biological weapons. HW went and showed every revolutionary wannabee and tin pot dictator what you could do with a whole lot of jet fuel.
I predicted this would bite us hard before the next decade. I missed it by a year.
On 9/11 I made a whole lot of “I told you so” phone calls.
No psychic powers or prophetic ability required.
I knew the moment I heard the news that OBL was behind it.
But a week prior to that, I was tucking my daughter, (then in third grade)into bed...and a troubling thought crossed my mind. When I was in third grade, President Kennedy was assassinated..I wondered aloud what kind of national disaster would she see in her time..I got my answer a week later.
Why? Was Bin Laden known to fly airplanes into buildings?
I used to get irritated with people calling 9/11 and inside job, referring to George W. Bush. However, if you think of Slick Willie instead, then it easily could have been. There was a series of terrorist attacks on the U.S, during his tenure including the Murrah Bldg in OKC and TWA flight 800 as well as the first WTC, the embassies in Africa, the USS Cole, etc., and Slick did nothing. He had the opportunity to get Bin Laden himself but conveniently was unavailable to give the go ahead. He also turned down Sudan’s offer to turn him over. It would be easy for Bin Laden to interpret all that as a go ahead himself.
Slick has never, to my knowledge, been called to answer for himself on all that.
