FORT LAUDERDALE Tania Ouaknine is convinced the police are watching her.
She's not paranoid it says as much on the red sign painted along the side on the hulking armored truck that's been parked in front of her eight-room Parisian Motel for several days.
"Warning: You are under video surveillance," reads the bold message on the side of the truck.
From the front bumper of the menacing vehicle, another sign taunts: "Whatcha gonna do when we come for you?"

Is that a question or a passive aggressive way of critiquing the way I categorized this? But in answer to your question..I would have to say that this blatant contempt for the United States Constitution is breaking news.
Creepy.
You’re right. And the one certain casualty of this “war” is the Constitution. It breaks my heart, but also angers me so much. Can we ever get back to where we were or is it only down here from here? Reminds me of an old country song my dad used to love “Are the good times really over for good?.” He used to think so then. And it’s so much worse than that now.
And yet there is still hope...
Hope they park that thing down by the levee to keep the floodgates under surveillance so they won't be neck deep in water next time the city officials steal the floodgates for scrap.
Yes, I’m a cruel bastard. You don’t need to tell me.
The little town where I live, Austell, ga near Six Flags, has one of these armored trucks, I walk right by it several times a week with my dog, It hasnt moved in several years, I dont think they even bother to cank it and let it run some,
Sitting there going to waste,
Bookmarking that. Thank you for sharing. I want to believe that things will never go that far..but we’ve already allowed things to go further than I ever believed they would.
What’s the difference between “watching” and providing an “armed guard”?
Ha! I remember, oh holy shit how I remember the flaming I back in the '90's for calling Florida a "police state."
He talks a good game. But, I never hear him mention out of control cops, NDAA, and the other atrocities we are faced with every day. Instead, he salutes our "heroes" in law enforcement. I think he probably is as concerned as the rest of us, but dares not offend his affiliates and yahoo listeners who think only hippies worry about civil liberties.
I’ve noticed that a lot in radio hosts. They never want to challenge police
