As previously reported, Willie Nelson is rallying behind the Occupy Wall Street protests. While many country artists have kept mum about their thoughts on the movement, Nelson posted a video in October of him and his wife reciting a poem they wrote in favor of Occupy.
Now, hes joining forces with other famous musicians who share his stance on the topic by contributing to the album Occupy This Album: A Compilation of Music By, For and Inspired by the Occupy Wall Street Movement and the 99%. The album is expected to release in the spring.

I don’t think anyone actually lives in Lukenbach.
He did have a pretty bad run-in with the IRS. How much of that was self-inflicted, I don’t know.
The occupiers are the demographic Willie wants to connect with? This is a real let down.
Lol. No, I don’t think so either. At least not the last time I was there.
I recall when he sang the National Anthem at the 1976 Democratic National Convention. Up till then, I had never heard of him, and in his long hair and scruffy clothes, I thought he was some hippie they had dragged off of Skid Row. When he sang the song, he omitted the part about the rockets and bombs.
Willie Nelson made a very bad first impression with me, and when I hear his name in the news, I still think of that performance.
I bike ride through there a few times a year and it is a great place to stop and take a break.
But, those who do not live there, have no say in who is not welcome in Lukenbach.
So, Willie isn’t a %1er? What about his tax subsidies for his sham fuel? Willie has been loaded for so long he doesn’t know s*** from shinola
I guess he figgers that's where the money is, with them occupiers bein' on TV all the time. 50 years of weed will do that to a guy.
Don’t they claim 3 people? Or is that just an exaggeration?
“...this crazy life we’re livin, has us feuding like the Hatfields and McCoys.”
Willie. Ive always been a big country music fan. YOU are overrated
I wouldn’t go that far.The man is a nutcase as far as his peronal life, but his music stands against anyone. When you see him in concert and he plays an hour and a half without playing more than half a song and you know every one, that’s a deep well. But yeah, he’s equally a kook
I’ll get that album free from a PtoP site lol
Im not all that big of a Willie fan, but Im sure Willie can still hit the road in his tour bus and fill Luckenbach, or any venue in that nation and will still be welcome by his fans.
Willie is still touring only with a smaller group. He is also playing to smaller venues it seems now days rather than the larger arenas of the past. He has some 20+ dates for Feb/Mar.

Willie is just an old hippy that has smoked too much pot and done who knows what else to fry his brain. He is always on the wrong side of issues.
Y’all can say anything you want about Willie’s music or his politics, but don’t ever bad mouth his liver. Must be made out of cast iron.
He did have the greatest line on owing the IRS I’ve ever heard though. “How could the IRS let someone like me get into them for $17 million?
Willie loves to play and loves to tour. A year or so ago I was talking to one of his crew and he said that it is not uncommon for him to receive a call at 8:00 at night and be told to get to the tour bus at midnight because Willie needs to play.
From that and other things, I get the impression that Willie keeps touring so that he will keep living. They also say that even when the band stays at a hotel, Willie stays on the tour bus.
On The Road Again is not simply a song.
