I am in Florida - yesterday I was on a conference call with Newt for Florida Christian Leaders - there were 22,000 christians on the call!! After Newt spoke and answered questions, the Pastor leading the alliance came on and asked everybody to consecrate themselves to prayer for the next 3 days - and that that was the most important thing we could do in Florida because the spiritual being waged against Florida - and the oppression in the air, from all the lies and hate. I have been posting that request every place I could find since that call ended last night, and now I am so happy there is a place of FR for systematic and dedicated prayer for Newt.
I am part of a military family and I say this psalm several times per day for those in danger, whom I love. I also say it for Newt.
“Newt dwells in the secret place of the most High and Newt abides under the shadow of the Almighty.
Newt says of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust.
Surely the Lord delivers Newt from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
The Lord covers Newt with his feathers, and under the Lord’s wing does Newt trust: the Lord’s truth is Newt’s shield and buckler.
Newt is not afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
A thousand shall fall at Newt’s side, and ten thousand at Newt’s right hand; but it shall not come nigh Newt.
Only with Newt’s eyes shall he behold and see the punishment of the wicked.
Because Newt has made the LORD, which is his refuge, even the most High, his habitation;
There shall no evil befall Newt, neither shall any plague come nigh Newt’s dwelling.
For the Lord gives His angels charge over Newt to keep me in all his ways.
The angels shall bear Newt up in their hands, lest he dash his foot against a stone.
Newt shall tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shall Newt trample under foot.
Because Newt has set his love upon the Lord, therefore will the Lord deliver Newt: the Lord will set Newt on high, because Newt has known the name of the Lord.
Newt will call upon the Lord, and The Lord answer Newt: The Lord will be with Newt in trouble; The Lord will deliver Newt, and honour him.
With long life will The Lord satisfy Newt, and show Newt His salvation.” ~Psalm 91
Thank you for ALL the blessings you have poured out on this our beloved nation! Please show us a mercy we so very much--as a people--do NOT deserve because we have so often failed to honor You, and to do Your will. But still we remember Your precious promise:
"...if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
O dear Lord, have mercy upon us. Christ have mercy upon us. Lord have mercy upon us.
