Santorum had his best debate performance to date. Based on low expectations I would say he won tonight. Romney did well but he did not get the knockout he needed to stop Newts momentum. Newt blew the Reagan stuff out of the water but the moon base stuff seems silly. Paul was laid back and funny at times but did not win over the crowd.

I'm thinking this thing could end in in a brokered convention.

Alabama, "I say, I say there the great state of Alabama casts 16 votes for the next President of the United States, Newt Gingrich, 4 votes for, etc., etc.

My report card:

Santorum - (A-) far and away his best debate, energized, passionate.

Newt - (B+) deck clearly stacked against him but gave reasoned answers to most questions

Romney - (B-) started strong (well-rehearsed) but stumbled on blind trust and Reagan support

Paul - (C-) was there and occasionally witty but no strong answers on any question of substance

Predictions for Florida:

Romney - 34%
Santorum - 18%
Paul - 9%
