What a difference a couple of months makes.
When I was supporting Newt here back in September, I had to scrape the "Amnesty Newt" and "Pelosi's Butt Buddy" posts off my screen every few minutes.
Now all these toeing-the-line Newtly-minted supporters are jumping on me unless I repeatedly acknowledge that Newt is an example, without flaw or blemish, of conservative American humanity.
To me he is the best of a rather mediocre lot, and that's about it.

I agree. He’s a great thinker, but wildly unreliable. Of course, compared to the Boy Scout, the CEO of snail-oil inc. and the blathering old man... he’s the best of a bad lot.
