Hosted by Wolf Blitzer at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. Candidates: Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum and Ron Paul.
Word is the audience will be "allowed" to participate.
Why should Rick drop out? He is running to be President, just like Newt and Mitt and RuPaul. He isn’t running just to get votes from Newt.
Why doesn’t Newt drop out and support Santorum?
Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper, and Ari Fleisher praising Mitt Romney.
Talk about the testosterone challenged praising the testosterone challenged.
CNN show me some Testosterone give Donna Brazille a chance.
I'm conflicted here. I think Santorum is probably the most consistent conservative up there, but for him to gain traction will split the conservative vote between him and Newt - throwing the nomination to Romney.
Romney - you saw the support in this audience.
Yeah, bussed in stacked audience by CNN.
Honestly, there really is no difference between willard and obozo
I agree Newt had some weak answers, but I think he had some good answers too and an overall neutral night. I thought Romney looked smarmy but the post-debate spin is that he "beat Gingrich" so...
Really? All I rember him saying was “I’ll fix America.”. I expect to hear that from Obama not a Republican candiates. America doesn’t need fixing by some liberal politician. We need politicians to get out of our way!
Rombama came across as the same grasping pandering slimeball that lives inside him.
Enough of FL prolly has enough sense left to see that.
You're just wrong this time .. honest.
You bet. He drew honest contrasts between himself and the others and you didn’t like it because your guy got gored. Too bad.
first off you are interruptin my drinkin with way too many 6’s in your howdy and 2nd...that poll I just voted in is as accurate as the right now temperature on Mars, five miles deep.
lololol
The recipes are full of nuts.
Good post on grades and predictions for tuesday.
Question: Did you make a prediction for SC? If so, how close were you?
Roaring on the floor LOL’ing!
Post of the Year!!!!!
Anyone with any sense of reality knows Mitt didn’t win that debate.
LOL. Thanks for the laugh. I was intently reading comments/analysis and your post popped up. Reminded me of the joke screen that says watch this dot closely and then the excorsist chick pops up and makes you jump! Forgot elections in these United States are always a preppers barometetor LOL...i think
watch this dot closely for 30 seconds..........AGGGGGGGGHHHH Get Guns!!
Brett ODonnell, who served as one of Michele Bachmanns top strategists, is Milt’s new debate coach. Swell.
Yup!
Romney had his best debate so far, and scored some serious blows to Newt. (Doesn't change the fact that I despise him, and he comes across as a whiney “poor me” candidate.)
Newt did “ok” but not his usual outstanding performance.
Ron Paul didn't do too bad.
The audience was extremely stacked for Romney.
Blitzer couldn't seem to ask more than a single question without that didn't try to bait Newt and Romney against each other, specifically attacking Newt.
And it was quite telling that Blitzer made a big deal out of the last question being a question that was going to include, gasp, “Barack Obama.” Can you imagine? Asking a question relevant to the General election?? Amazing.
Santorum did very well tonite. Made some good points, and tried to stick to substance. I thought he lost his composure a bit in the exchange with Romney on Healthcare. But otherwise one of his better debates. Liked his stance on the space program. And liked that he tried to get the debate back to substance.
Paul - one of his better debates. He is really good on economic issues. And tonite there wasn’t too much on foreign policy, so he didn’t seem to wacky. And he always makes the debates fun. Pokes fun at everyone. And defuses the tension at times.
Romney - pretty good debate. Had Newt rocked back early in the debate. Biggest debate stumble was not knowing about the ad on ghetto slur. He won the exchange on Fannie and Freddie.
Newt - had some good moments. Looked very unhappy at the start of the debate. Let Romney get in some good blows, especially early. And I was surprised that Newt served up a couple softballs for Romney and Paul to hit him on. But a great closing.
Debate - started good. I liked it that all of them are taking the “Newtster” approach to hit back at stupid media questions. (King, now Blitzer - hooray) Last half of the debate, was OK, but almost too civil. Question that will be answered over the weekend if Newt did enough to stop Romney’s latest surge in Florida? And Santorum’s good performance could impact who wins between Newt and Mitt. And all the early voting is a wild card. Both Mitt and Newt have had poll surges during the early voting. So who knows?
I hope all 4 get back to issues and quit the personal back and forth stuff. Lets focus on Obama, and now minutia which won’t matter in November.
In Fla our real estate is worthless,we have 25% unemployment in S. fla. endless crime, bars on all homes and buisnesses, spanish the first language—yeah its terriffic.
Who said Mitt won? Santorum planted him.
