Mrs. Pelosi, like Mr. Gingrich a former speaker of the House, said on CNN this week that a Gingrich presidency “will never happen.” Asked how she could be so confident, the California Democrat said, without further explanation: “There’s something I know.”
Mrs. Pelosi, who served on the House Ethics Committee when it reprimanded Mr. Gingrich in 1997, referenced that investigation when she offered up similar comments about Mr. Gingrich last month.
Mr Gingrich challenged Mrs. Pelosi to “put up or shut up.”

Fox showed a clip of Newt being asked about this and he concluded his comments with something like “I’d rather have Nancy Pelosi threatening me than endorsing me!” LOL.
On a serious note, I said this the last go-round of Pelosi’s threats: this is flirting with extortion.

On radio, I heard the John King/Pelosi interview recently where she said that the only information she had on Newt was in the public record.
But yes, if push comes to shove, Nancy will breach confidentiality as easily as she imposes it on the
finding out “what’s in the bill after we pass it”.
The only thing that hasn’t been tried against Newt, since already they once destroyed his reputation, forced him out of Congress, and now have used the ex-wife smears and even abortion threat rumors to her, is the old ELLSWORTH treatment not seen since the Nixon years. Mental instability. A raided file from somewhere. Something like that is all that is left should Newt become the nominee that could railroad Newt, but it’s improbable or Marianne would have spilled such beans. Nancy, go away. :)

However Pelosi will not say anything else on the matter. Instead, a staffer who likely kept copies of every "rumor and unfounded allegation" associated with the "Ethics Investigation" will probably leak it to WaPO and NYT.
The left media will run with all of it over a period of several months.

About the only thing that Pelosi could say that might make me rethink my support of Newt would be if she said she had an affair with him.
Even if the dirt is true - I JUST DON'T CARE! DC is dirty to begin with - so some dirt will rub off!
I wish we had a spokesperson that would come out and say - don't bother with the dirt - Newt's getting our vote no matter what! Let them know their tactics don't work any more.
