Gingrich will meet with voters Thursday at the Lakeside Inn in Mount Dora, Fl., a campaign official confirmed. The event starts at 9 a.m.

PS: I’ll be there to pick up some bumper stickers and campaign buttons! Whoo Hoo

Rasmussen:
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll

“This is a stunning reversal”, said Rasmussen just now on Fox News Channel.

Brand new numbers from Florida show that Newt Gingrich is still on a roll. In the Sunshine State, it’s Gingrich at 41% and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney at 32%. This is a poll of LIKELY voters, not just “registered” voters who may or may not even turn out to vote

Amazing considering that “Mr. Gingrich and his super PAC have yet to air a single television ad in Florida. Mr. Romney and his super PAC have already spent nearly $7 million on advertising there. “

Newt leads Romney among women 30-28. Romney gets 0.0% of the 18-29 vote. In that age group Newt gets 31.6%, with undecided in 2nd place with 25.6%.

Gee, this is interesting. RedState (Erick Erickson): http://www.redstate.com/erick/2012/01/22/money-for-santorum/

“I can confirm tonight from multiple sources that phone calls are in fact occurring between Republicans in Washington and among evangelical leaders to raise money for Rick Santorum rapidly. The sources tell me that this is not for a Santorum win, though the evangelicals I spoke to continue to hope it is possible. This is to stop Newt Gingrich. One evangelical leader I spoke to said, “If Newt wins, we won’t be able to make family values an issue in the general.” One lobbyist I spoke to said, “They [the GOP leaders in DC] are really nervous about Gingrich and they think he’d be a disaster. The best way to shut him down is to prop up
Rick.’

This was just Tweeted from a Newt Team: We need more callers for Newt! http://www.newt.org/volunteer Sign up and Help! Join Newt Gingrich’s facebook page as well: http://www.facebook.com/newtgingrich

Newt’s emerging as the true anti-establishment Tea Party leader, plus more. Establishment GOP will pull out all the stops to deny us our want.
Yep - saw a compiliation “smear the Newt” ad during the ball game last night. Mittens and the establishment GOP have their knckers in knots and are getting ready for a scorched earth campaign. IMO, it may not be the worst that can happen - it might very well cause an uprise against the Establishment and help them see the light... It will definitely harden hearts against Mittens as he proves he’s too stupid to see (or care) what Newt understood from the beginning about this tactic.

Insider Advantage Poll - Florida (Newt 34, Mitt 25)

Newt seems poised to break over 50% on the Florida Primary Intrade Contract (he’s now at 45%):

By contrast, Newt didn’t get this high on the South Carolina contract until Friday, the day before the primary.

And here’s the Newsmax story on this poll:

Newt Surges to Lead in Fla., Romney Trails by 8 Points

I think it is time to buy stock in popcorn. The head shrinks will have to diagnose a new ‘derangement syndrome’ for the DC Beltway and Main Stream Media Establishment crowd. LoL.

Schmidt: GOP Establishment Will Have A Meltdown If Newt Wins Florida

-snip-

“Schmidt: “Not only are we not moving toward a coalescing of support with the establishment of Newt Gingrich, we’re probably moving toward a declaration of war on Newt Gingrich by the Republican establishment. And if Newt Gingrich is able to win the Florida primary, you will see a panic and a meltdown of the Republican establishment that is beyond my ability to articulate in the English language. People will go crazy,”

And you will have this five week period until the Super Tuesday states that will be just as unpredictable, tumultuous as any period in modern American politics. It will be a remarkable thing to watch, should that happen in Florida.” “

strange times but what an opportunity for America.

I’ve written all weekend that Newt’s worst enemies,, enemies who want you dead, who want you eaten, are from his own party elected to congress

if Newt went neon bright with key Tea Party outlets we real conservatives could cull the herd.

Again, what an opportunity.

THANK YOU for including Redstate in those links! Erick is getting some very vested information and it’s been stunning for me, but it isn’t getting up on FR. I am not a poster, myself—can’t get the process to cooperate with my incompetence! ( That Topics requirement rejects even its own “options” link! LOL!)

Thanks for watching Redstate closely though. I will check out the other links.

As for Rush, he is back to non-commital position of any commital to a candidate, which in ordinary times could be understandable. He is saying that the race is long, “not panic”, which is true, but it can be inferred that he believes Newt can’t maybe hold up for the long run. AND WHO IS PANICKING, ANYWAY??? It’s the moderate media and the RINO detail!
