Remember before he was terminated, that Joe had announced he would retire after the season. He wanted to retire. He was fired instead. They wouldn’t let him go out on his own terms. I guess they wanted to make their political statement.
“I guess they wanted to make their political statement.”
A statement like this?
Child molestation is detestable & intolerable. Anyone who turns a blind eye toward it is at least partly responsible.
Uh let's not lose sight of the fact that JoePa also either covered up a man/boy rape in his own locker room or was incompetent when weighing football vs. moral law...
It wouldn't have been a political statement if the boy had been your son.....
Penn State was just CYA. By allowing him to continue to retirement it may have been construed that they were condoning his actions, or inactions. I’m sure it was a legal move.
They made a political statement with another Penn State Coach, Rene Portland. They fired her because she would not allow gays on her team.
political statement??
Those who protect child molesters deserve to be punished to the fullest extent.

Yeah, I remember that. I said at the time it was the ultimate arrogance and he needed to be fired. Glad the board did the right thing. Sad that he couldn’t have died in jail
