It’s not going to happen. I agree that Newt will be good against Obama but he knows that these lincoln-douglas debates are not going to happen

We know Obama will try to avoid debating, but that doesn't mean that Newt should not make the attempt. Newt should make every attempt to chase after Obama on this and force Obama to answer to the public about why he won't debate.

Obama will start a war with Iran on the eve of the debates and claim that he has to postpone the debates, then will try to run out the clock, grudgingly agree to a 1-hour debate with a stacked deck, use up most of the debate time because his handpicked moderator will allow him to do so, and barely let Newt get a word in.
