Newt wins
Charleston (WV) Daily Mail ^ | January 21, 2012 | Don Surber

That did not take long. Newt Gingrich bounced from fourth in Iowa and fourth in New Hampshire to win the South Carolina Primary, which has been won by all the previous 8 Republican nominees, dating back to Ronald Reagan in 1980.

The appeal is Newt fights. He showed that twice in this week’s debates. I have been saying that the debates have been the great equalizer, as Newt and others have used it to offset Mitt Romney’s huge warchest.

What a week for Newt. Coming off the New Hampshire primary, Mitt led in South Carolina by 10 points or more in the 5 polls. Then Newt beat up Mitt in Monday’s debate and beat up the media in Thursday’s debate and won big today, according to exit polls. There have been 17 televised primaries already on commercial television networks. Capitalism — not congressional action — has taken money out of politics, or at least mitigated, its power.

Yes indeed, Newt fights and its been a long time since a conservative political figure has bit thourgh the GOP muzzle and bit the rats, shook them and threw them over the back . The wonderful President Ronald Reagan was the last straight talker America had as a conservative President and I hope Newt continues to bite back as both the rinos and rats of the left.

George W Bush could/should have exposed 0bama. In my mind, he broke his oath.

George Bush was a man with good intentions but he was a rino and therefore no good for dealing against Americas worst and most dangerous enemies, the depraved democrat marxist party of thieves and liars. Every time he signed a conservative bill, he reached across the isle and then signed a liberal domestic bill to empower the enemy. That's no way to advance conservative principles. No dealing with the enemy except to give them jobs after we re establish liberty and capitalism. But they should never hold political office as they hate America as much as all communist and Islamic nations worldwide. They destroy America first and steal taxpayers monies while glad handing the useful idiots of the left.

Exactly right, Reagan was despised by the left because he was such an effective communicator of the truth. Newt has the same skill and may yet become the next Reagan, given half a chance.

If we end up with Mittens it will be another “McCain loss” in the general election. No conviction and no vision, no real contrast between Mittens and Oblama. The larger population will not see a reason to switch from Oblama to the rooky MR.

And just think...can you imagine the debates between Newt and Oblama? By the time Newt is done with him, even the lefties will think Oblama is a joke.

This is actually pretty exciting!

Just think: If Gingrich were to pull an upset in Florida, he might well be the frontrunner!

Just think: a week ago, Romney had his “historic win” in Iowa and NH and was leading in SC, looking like he might well end up undefeated.

Then, wow! Iowa goes officially to Santorum, and Newt cleans his clock in SC. All Romney has so far now is neighboring and open primary, New Hampshire!!!
