The truth is, Gingrich hasn’t got a shot.

A few months ago, I would have totally agreed with you. I saw Newt as a has-been and an angry old man (sorta like Ron Paul). I took the defection of his support team as proof that I was right.
However, we have all watched Newt undergo a renaissance in the last few months, and especially in the last couple of weeks. If Newt can continue in this vein, he has a real shot. If he can raise the money to get his message out, he has a shot. If he will come off his high horse a little and do sympathetic interviews talking about how he is now a good Catholic and regrets his past mistakes, he has a shot. If he can GET his message out to the American public as a whole and continue to make it both palatable and inspiring, as he has lately - I really think Newt has a real shot! He converted me. I think he can convert others as well.
Go Newt!!!! :o)
I am now curious why they quit? Could it be that they wanted to muzzle Newt? Could it be that they wanted a “disciplined” candidate? All I know is that the Elite Media and GOP are in a panic. Even Britt Hume is befuddled. Did you notice Caddell nodding in agreement with Britt at the end of the show last night?
