“Can anyone on this board explain to me how Perry had the greatest response of all his debates, coming in only second to Newt in the first SC debate, and Perrys numbers waned?
It truly is a fickle public, and I do harbor some ill will toward Cain for playing up the race card on Perry, and blaming Perry for his women troubles.”
In agreement on all counts here. People could see how great Perry had become at debating. And he was exactly what conservatives say they value in all other respects, so WTH? It seems a lot of folks on the right tend to get behind the “popular” one, rather than choosing on principles and then backing the candidate so his numbers WILL go up. Frustrating, still.
And yeah, IMO Herman showed himself to be an ass, despite all the posing with Bibles during Christmas and painting himself as such a great Christian. When he went on Imus the other day and said Perry was weak on the issues-—are you kidding me, LOL? He always had it in for Perry.
When I think of Obama and his lack of executive experience and the fact that he didn’t serve in the military, I’m reminded that Perry is an executive and he did serve.
You’d think those two qualities would garner him more support from the electorate. We’re electing a president, not someone to be on American Idol.
