How is it conservative to vote for a three times married man who supported cap and trade, profited from Fannie/Freddie, and is pro amnesty?
Newt has made pretty damning
testimonies against Cap & Trade. So you're blatantly wrong on this.
Re: Freddie Mac consulting: $1.6 million paid out to a consulting firm over the course of 10 years is chump change. Further, Freddie Mac has
said that Gingrich didn't do anything of substance they believed they could use on their behalf:
"He was expected to provide written material that could be circulated among free-market conservatives in Congress and in outside organizations, said two former company executives familiar with Gingrichs role at the firm. He didnt produce a white paper or any other document the firm could use on its behalf, they said."
Perhaps because Newt may well have told them exactly what they didn't want to hear?
And I'm not even sure where you got the idea that Newt is pro-amnesty. He mentioned specifically that he wants to deal the border by 2014 by any means necessary, increase deportations, and that any existing immigrants who've been here 20+ years would have to apply for citizenship or go home.
A new attack from Rommey today was on Newt to release info on Freddie Mac. It appears that will be Romney’s new attack.
Kind of like a liberal would attack...
