Why is it that I like the possible VP’s better than the candidates at the top of the ticket? I have a feeling that I am not unique in that respect.

Why is it that I like the possible VP’s better than the candidates at the top of the ticket? I have a feeling that I am not unique in that respect.I had the same feeling in 2004 with Bush/Cheney. After a Cheney campaign stop where he was running solo (without Bush), my wife and I both left thinking that the wrong guy was on top of the ticket.
