Newt released a white paper on health care a few months ago that kind of concerned me. That is the type of thing that we should be focusing on.
This concerned me about Santorum -- you can hear him at the link saying:
"One of the criticisms I make is to what I refer to as more of a Libertarianish right. They have this idea that people should be left alone, be able to do whatever they want to do, government should keep our taxes down and keep our regulations low, that we shouldn’t get involved in the bedroom, we shouldn’t get involved in cultural issues. That is not how traditional conservatives view the world....”
Gee, I guess I and every other conservative I know missed that memo! Wow.
On balance, reviewing the big picture of Newt's many achievements that helped turn this nation to the right, I think Newt is far and away the better gamble to beat Romney, beat Obama, and REDUCE GOVERNMENT INTRUSION on the freedoms of Americans.
