I remember the Contract with America and welfare reform.
Newt changed the atmosphere of Congress.
No more was it a country club setting in which everyone got along with each other, to the detriment of conservatives.
He drew the line in the sand between Democrats and Republicans.
We still have RINOs, but the line is still there.
What has Santorum accomplished?

Ok, this is starting to get really idiotic.
Gingrich has said on dozens occasions that “it was a stupid thing to do”.
