RIP.
I fear for the safety of our troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. I’m grateful my son is back on U.S. soil as of last evening. If we are not going to prosecute this war, then bring them all home.
It is great to hear that your son has returned and is safe home.
RIP
Good point.
All those KIA counts have disappeared from the front pages of the Democrat newspapers, too.
What are we still doing in that hellhole?
U.S. chopper crashes in Afghanistan; 6 dead
CBS/AP) Updated at 9:28 a.m. Eastern
KANDAHAR, Afghanistan - A NATO helicopter has crashed in southern Afghanistan, killing six members of the international military force, the U.S.-led coalition said Friday.
Sources in Afghanistan and Washington tell CBS News it was a U.S. Marine CH-53 helicopter that crashed, and a U.S. military official tells the Associated Press that all those killed were Marines, but the coalition has not officially disclosed the nationalities of the victims. Details of such incidents are generally kept private until the families of the dead are notified.
CBS News is still seeking independent confirmation on the nationalities of the crash victims. ...
Thanks to this war, the parents and relatives of these 6 brave Marines are now devastated.
That’s a good question but I don’t have an answer for it. The same question used to be asked in Russian, back in the 1980s.
IMO, it’s thanks to the inability to properly prosecute this war such that the enemy’s back is broken, and his will to fight destroyed, which should have been accomplished in less than four years, that the families of these Marines are now devastated.
