I know the facts. Nancy Johnson a republican was in charge of the investigation.

Gingrich admitted he mislead them about the truth. He was fined $300,000.00 for ethics violations - which include not telling the truth! That is AN ETHICS violation that he admitted to.

Let’s not get into the definition of “is” game.

I am not trying to make this an “is” game. From my reading / research, the $300,000 was the cost of the hearings, and not a fine. Misleading is also a little different to me than an out right lie, and he was man enough to admit to the wrong doing of it.
