I'm officially endorsing Newt Gingrich for president today. Was going to wait until after Florida, but see no reason to delay. We need Newt to win in South Carolina and Florida to stop any possible momentum building up for the establishment big government, statist, abortionist RINO!!

RomneyCare = ObamaCare = government tyranny!! Taxpayer funded abortion is as evil as evil can be!!

Newt is a pro-life Reagan Revolution conservative who led the Republican Revolution of the 90’s, taking the majority away from the democrats who had held it for 40 years. And as Speaker, cut the taxes, cut the government, cut the spending, cut the deficit, cut regulations, cut unemployment, brought the federal budget under control for four years running. And unlike Romney, actually blocked a socialist healthcare system from becoming law. And created a pro-growth, pro-free market, pro-jobs environment and extended the Reagan economy throughout the 90’s!! Newt is the ideal candidate to lead the Tea Party Revolution!!

Newt plans to go to a 15% personal flat tax after deductions and a 12.5% corporate tax and eliminate the capital gains taxes altogether. He wants to privatize social security and medicare and eliminate the payroll tax.

And he wants to neuter the EPA and the Fed. Repeal ObamaCare, Dodd-Frank and Sarbanes-Oxley. Fire all of the czars, dismantle the Marxist state and fire if not jail Bernanke. And send 185 federal socialist welfare programs back to the states and the people, and return education back to local control.

Newt will directly challenge the liberal activist judiciary and end the unconstitutional power grabs of our usurping black robed rulers.

He wants to restore the constitutional balance of powers between the three branches and restore states rights and individual rights. He wants to turn government control back to the states and local people as the founders set it up.

These are the kind of dramatic reductions in government that the tea party is demanding.

And he has the knowledge, experience, know how, fire in the belly, and the balls to get it done!!

In short, I believe he's exactly what we grassroots conservative tea party rebels are looking for. I think we can use some of Newt’s conservative revolutionary talents right now!!

As long as the conservatives remain split, the establishment RINO Romney will waltz in just like McLame in 2008 and he will lose to Obama just like McLame. It's time to build the Gingrich Coalition!!

FR is hereby officially in full open rebellion against the elite GOP establishment and the Marxist commiecrats!!

Go, tea party!! Go, Newt!!

We are the resistance!!

Damn the torpedoes, damn the RINOs, damn the exes!! Full speed ahead!!

Free Republic is and will remain a pro-life, pro-family, limited government, strong defense, grassroots conservative site!!

RINOs need not apply!!

Happy Newt Day!! Only 366 days until President Newt evicts Obama!!

Wow...Jim...really. Beck is in the tank for Romney???

I just spent an hour trying to find any reference where Beck has EVER said he was supporting Mitt Romney????

The only thing I have found Beck say is if Romney ends up being the GOP nominee that he would vote for him against Obama.

What will you do if Romney is the nominee for the GOP?

Will you vote for Romney or write in Gingrich?

Will you not vote?

I’ve told everyone a thousand times. I will never ever vote for or support that abortionist/statist paperhanging SOB for president. FUMR!!

And yes, our friend Beck is in the tank for Romney. Watched him on FOX the other day, eliminating all others one by one leaving Mitt as his only acceptable candidate.

Obama will do 2-3 debates regardless of who the nominee is. Plus 1 VP debate.

Beckbot?

I listen to every conservative voice out there. I read every piece of conservative viewpoint I can find. I read and study every conservative resource I can get my hands on.

I have spent the last 4 years understanding our history, our founders and politicians.

The only thing Glenn Beck ever did for me was open my eyes and challenge me to do my own homework, to do my own research and learn.

Last I knew Glenn Beck was for Michelle Bachman. I think Beck will vote for whomever is the GOP nominee - anyone over Obozo!

As for Gingrich - you are only seeing, hearing what you want to hear, Gingrich is absolutely not who you think he is.

Would he be better than Obama - YES, would he better than Romney - YES, but will he beat a 4-5 month massive national negative campaign - even if it is completely false?

Probably not...and that is the point.

Is it Santorum that you support?

Jim there is NO WAY that Glenn Beck in any way would support Romney. The only way I could see it if Romney were the nominee - which BTW isn’t going to happen. This primary season is longer the previous and Romney has already peaked and this playing field is going to change a couple more times. South Carolina may not be the deciding point this election.

He has called Romney a freaking socialist JUST LIKE Obama. I have to track down that FOX segment - what show was he on? I can’t find the segment anywhere.

Everywhere I look Beck is hammering Romney.

You need to do a post stating that.

A lot of people for whatever reason still follow Glenn Beck and are sucked in by his nonsense. They don't see that he is supporting Romney.

You know I support Herman Cain big time, then he let us all down.

I supported Rick Perry and now he has quit.

I am now supporting Rick Santorum - agreed Santorum likes big government but so does Gingrich and Romney. But Santorum has integrity, character, morals and solid principles.

So out of the group right now...Santorum seems to be the choice that I think God would want us to make.

However regardless of whomever is the GOP nominee I will support them after the primary because ANYTHING is better than Obama. There is no way I would step away from my obligation to do something to save our country.

This ALL-IN game right now at this stage of the primary is reckless. This primary is longer than the others and anything can happen this year.

We really needed to keep ALL the candidates in the race so that we could fully vet these candidates so that conservatives could ALL get behind a solid candidate and defeat Romney.

I just think there is so much baggage with Gingrich - Obama is going to go to town on him during the real campaign.

Did anyone notice what happened to Gingrich’s support during a two week negative campaign spree?

I respect your choices, but not forever. If Gingrich wins today, I would hope that Santorum might choose to drop out. If he does not, that is a decision that I may not respect.

Ron Paul is the wild card here that we have to worry about. Not Rick Santorum.

Why? Ron Paul has no chance of being the nominee. Imho, the majority of his supporters are liberals.

If Ron Paul runs third party...it could be a problem. He has to do decide by May 1st.

From where does Ron Paul draw his supporters? Where is the loss to the Republican nominee?

I think the surge in Ron Paul support has a lot to do with people that are frustrated with DC.

I know several staunch conservatives that view supporting Ron Paul as a solid protest vote. They would rather side with liberty than keep supporting the clowns we always seem to get.

An interesting point that helps support your position is the amount of democrats that are writing in Ron Paul in the Dem primary. Some of the primary states Ron Paul is getting up to 20% write in...

That is why I think he could be an issue...he could draw enough people from both sides that are just totally fed up (pun intended).

Yeah, and the Gingrich and Santorum supporters can continue their Michael Moore-ish attacks on free market capitalism. Hell, Obama doesn’t even need a campaign, now he’s got Republicans making his class warfare attacks on “the rich” who happen to have made the wealth honestly and paid their income taxes in accordance with federal statute.

The GOP primaries are a disgrace. There are no conservatives in this race. They are all shameless opportunists who will not tell the American voters what they need to hear about free markets, putting capital at risk, maximizing opportunities and increasing the overall size of the pie. It’s all about jealousy and greed now: people don’t like to see a successful person anymore because it makes them feel bad about their own lot in life. But maybe that person is smarter, studied harder, worked harder, took risks.

President Barack Obama got a free pass on Keystone XL this week without a peep from a single Republican; it’s all about Newt’s failed marriages and Romney’s legally paid taxes - which, by the way, the Ron Paul crowd should be screaming are nobody’s business, but that’s for another rant.
