This could still shift but I think that this result is conservatives coalescing around the person most likely to derail Romney.

56% of voters say they watched it, and with those folks Gingrich's lead over Romney is 43-27. Romney still has a 29-22 advantage on Gingrich with those who didn't tune in.

This is why we want Newt...we'd love to see him put Conservatism up vs. Obama's socialist agenda on the national stage.

Actually 3 polls show Gingrich leading: Rasmussen shows Gingrich leading Romney 33 to 31 percent:

And now we know why ABC is dragging out Newt's ex-wife. All the plans for the democrats involved running against Romney. They can beat Romney by going negative. Gingrich is harder because so much of what he has done wrong is old news. In financial terms it is all priced in already.

Newt was not my favorite. To be honest he was number six on the list. The first two didn't run and the next three imploded. So we have Newt, the best of what's left. But for all his failings he can beat Obama. And he would get rid of Obamas cronies in the government. We would need a strong Tea Party in congress to watch him, but unlike Romney he can be pushed into doing the right thing most of the time.

Love it, love it, love it.

It’s kinda comical watching Fox-Romney-news tie themselves into knots trying to change this.

The bastards won’t give up, but I suspect that today, Rove has flu like symptoms.

Dana Perino is tripping all over herself and I fully expect her to be crying on live TV before this is all over.

FFNews...

GO NEWT GO.......

Newt is not perfect, but I would be out there campaigning for him. I wouldn’t do that for Mitt...

This doesn’t really indicate any change. What is happening here is what always happens: The phony push polls have to clean up their act at the last minute, or look really foolish.
