Movie studios, record labels and business groups

Dont they have lawyers to write out some cease and desist letters - those Chinese just need to be educated about piracy and they’ll quit...

Right?

China won’t play nice and has gotten very bold about putting pirated stuff on sites it has at home.

At least so the story I hear goes, a story which might be severely slanted by media interests playing up a danger to far more than it is.

But Congress is too kitty cat whipped to put sanctions on China. That’s what Google is urging.

By the way, if Chinese sites are misbehaving like this, it might be suitable recompense to yank their DNS entries in the Western world, just like is done with serious botware/spyware/virus attacks. Then China can wail all it wants at losing the traffic till it agrees to cooperate to clean up its own act, such as accepting and acting on DMCA-type takedown notices.
