POLITICO's Ginger Gibson caught up with an elated Newt Gingrich shortly after Sarah Palin's not-quite-but-sorta endorsement on Fox News:
"We're thrilled - I just talked to Todd and we're just thrilled," he told POLITICO as he headed into his hotel here for the night. "It's a signal to every conservative that the one conservative vote that's effective is to Newt Gingrich and that's very helpful."
Palin's expression of support, Gingrich said, is part of a rush of support he believes will power him to victory on Saturday - and from there, into the candidate who will beat Mitt Romney to the GOP nomiantion.
"Lots of different things are working together to help us," Gingrich said.....

We are still very early in the process. Last week on his radio show, Mark Levin went through Reagan's 1976 run.
In the beginning Ford was winning everything (something like 6-9 states straight). There were calls for Reagan to get out. The elites wanted Reagan out for the same reasons they want Conservatives out now.
Reagan resisted and kept pushing ahead. Reagan started winning many of the Conservative states. He gave Ford a great run for his money. Reagan came within something like 60 votes from beating Ford.
We must not give into the evil drumbeat of the elites at FOX and elsewhere that "it's over if Mitt grabs S.C. and/or FL." The evil elites just want to dispirit the Conservative base.
The elites know that soon Mitt will be running into trouble in the states with "real" conservatives.
Remember a candidate has to get something like 1148 delegates to win! We are far from that. Heck, things could go in such a direction that even new candidates may jump in. It is no means set in stone.
Everyone needs to stay positive and be patient. Like the famous quote, "was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor??!! :) "
Did anyone of you guys actually hear what Sarah said? This isn’t an endorsement but to keep this process going on she supports Newt in S.C.
This is strategic to stop Mitt or at least slow him down. Notice that Newt didn’t speak to Sarah but to Todd who endorsed him earlier. Did she uplift Newt before the Iowa Caucus? No she uplifted Santorum who either won or is in a virtual tie with Romney in IA.
Did you notice that Sarah said weeks ago that the next 2 people that should go were Bachmann and Huntsman? And lo and behold who went in that order.
Reminds me of Bob Dole, for one. Also, Cain with some of his stuff.
I just think it comes off badly. Better to say I or Me. Thta’s how most people talk. Most don’t use the 3rd person in their every day speech.
Not a huge deal, but I just think he’d be better off if he dropped the 3rd person.
Being a Dole retread is a way to save the country? Dole didn’t save the country the first time, why is Dole II going to save the country? RINO has-beens are not the answer.
Well, she may or may not know what it takes to win, but you sure don't. Rots o ruck champ.
At this pint (sic)
we need a street fighter, not a re-branded Kerry.
ya, it sucks.
Sounds like Newt got the memo...the leaked McCain memo that is.
What the hell are you talking about?
I hope it works. Sarah should endorse, and hit the campaign trail.
This is the url where palin gives newt her endorsement.
“Can Newt please stop using the 3rd person.”
All of the candidates use the third person. It actually sounds less arrogant than saying “I” all of the time.
Sarah's Choice
Unfortunatetly that seems to be the case. Dole redux.
“Too bad he couldnt even win his own state, last time.”
Too bad Newt resigned instead of facing re-election. Because he would’ve lost if he tried.
Here’s Krautheimer and O’reilly saying Newt won the debate bigtime. as well romney needs to win the next debate or he’s in trouble.

“Well, she may or may not know what it takes to win, but you sure don’t. Rots o ruck champ. “
No, but unlike Newt, you won’t find me sitting next to Pelosi!
The Reagan Democrats became Republicans.
